Website analytics & your choices

Updated 18 October 2026. This notice describes optional analytics on wsgroupmalta.com. Enquiries, applications, orders and staff sign-in are separate processes.

Purpose and choice

WS Installations uses optional analytics to understand visits and improve the website. It runs only after you choose “Allow analytics”. You can decline and use the website normally, or change your choice through “Privacy & analytics” in the footer at any time.

What is measured

We record random browser, visit and page-view IDs; the homepage, shop or careers page visited; predefined section views and button actions; successful submission counts by type; approximate screen-size category; broad referral source (such as Google); and approximate active time. Time pauses when the page is hidden, unfocused or inactive for a minute.

Analytics does not collect form contents, CVs, customer names, emails, phone numbers, precise locations, raw IP addresses, full browser user-agent strings, full URLs or query parameters. There are no screen recordings or advertising pixels in this analytics feed. The random IDs are pseudonymous and are not joined to customer submissions or staff accounts.

Browser storage

• ws_analytics_consent_v1: remembers your allow/reject choice for 180 days.
• ws_analytics_visitor_v1: optional random browser ID, considered expired after 90 days.
• ws_analytics_session_v1: optional tab-session visit ID, resets after 30 minutes of inactivity.
• ws_analytics_exclude: admin browser exclusion preference, retained until changed or browser storage is cleared.

Access and retention

Analytics is stored in the existing WS Supabase project in Ireland (EU). Authorised WS admin staff can access reports. Records older than 90 days are removed by a daily cleanup job. Hosting/database providers may process their separate operational and security logs under their infrastructure arrangements; these are not included in this dashboard.

Withdrawal and limitations

“Reject / withdraw analytics” stops future collection and removes optional browser/visit IDs in this browser. Historical records remain subject to the retention period. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals disable collection. Browsers that block storage or requests, and visitors who decline, are not fully represented in reports. A browser identifier is an estimate of a visitor; separate devices or cleared storage can count again.
